Crew Member Development

Since its inception in 2004, the Drive for Diversity Crew Member Development program has supported 24 different crew member candidates. Several crew member candidates have gone on to earn positions with NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams.

The Crew Member Development Program:

  • Provides opportunities for minority and female participants to be a member of a pit crew on established race teams in varios NASCAR series
  • Seeks opportunities for program "graduates" to advance to top teams within the sport

Access Marketing & Communications provides opportunities for qualified minority crew member candidates to work with established NASCAR Nationwide Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and NASCAR Camping World Series teams.

Crew member candidates will participate in an eight-week pit crew training course before beginning their apprenticeship with a NASCAR team. Selected candidates will be provided with training in the areas of:

  • Pit Crew Strategy
  • Position Responsibilities
  • Pit Stop Choreography
  • Equipment Selection
  • Adjustments
  • Physical Conditioning

Access Marketing & Communications is always accepting resumes and supporting documents from crew members interested in the Drive for Diversity program.

The Drive for Diversity Crew Member Development program is not a full-time position and does not guarantee full-time employment with a NASCAR team.
