2006 Crew Members

The 2006 Crew Member Development program again supported 12 individuals in their training and over-the-wall development. These individuals earned placement with NASCAR Busch Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams:

Nicole Addison

Nicole Addison, of Tucson, Ariz., came to the Drive for Diversity program after working full-time at PIT Instruction & Training, LLC. With the Crew Member Development program, Addison earned a position as a tire changer with Xpress Motorsports No. 19 Craftsman Truck Series team. Addison is currently working in the Craftsman Truck Series as a rear tire changer for Circle Bar Racing.

John Boyd

John Boyd, of Detroit, Mich., joined the Drive for Diversity program for the 2006 season. Boyd worked with Ginn Racing, going over-the-wall as a tire carrier. Boyd was hired on full-time with Ginn Racing (now Dale Earnhardt Inc.) following his stint with the Crew Memember Development program. He is currently employed as a tire carrier in the NASCAR Busch Series.

Erin Carter

Erin Carter, of Logan, Ohio, earned her place in the Crew Member Development program after training at PIT Instruction & Training, LLC. Carter was partnered with Jay Robinson Racing for the 2006 season. She continues to seek out crew opportunities in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Brian Eastland

Brian Eastland, of New Bern, N.C., spent one season with the Drive for Diversity Crew Member Development program in 2006. Eastland spent the season working alongside other D4D crew members at Jay Robinson Racing.

Elgin Galloway

Elgin Galloway, of Denver, Colo., was a participant of the Crew Member Development program in 2005 and 2006. While with the program, Galloway worked as a jackman with Sutton Motorsports and Michael Waltrip Racing.

Calvin Gravely

Calvin Gravely, of Martinsville, Va., was a participant in the Crew Member program in 2004, 2005, and 2006. During his time with the Drive for Diversity program, Gravely worked in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with HT Motorsports and Orleans Racing. He currently serves as the jackman for South Point Racing.

Corey Hunter

Corey Hunter, of Covington, Va., worked as a shipping/receiving specialist with Hendrick Motorsports and earned the opportunity to go over-the-wall as a tire carrier with DCT Motorsports and ppc Racing while with the Drive for Diversity program in 2005 and 2006.

Chris Justice

Chris Justice, of Atlanta, Ga., used his athletic ability to earn a spot on the Crew Member Development program roster in both 2005 and 2006. Justice, a former college football player, served as a tire carrier with Sutton Motorsports and Jay Robinson Racing. He is now a tire specialist and rear tire carrier for South Point Racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Emmanuel McDaniel

Emmanuel McDaniel, of Hampton, Ga., joined Jay Robinson Racing as a member of the Crew Member Development program in 2006. McDaniel earned a full-time position with Jay Robinson Racing for the 2007 NASCAR Busch Series season.

Brandy Pointon

Brandy Pointon, of Pueblo, Colo., was selected as a member of the Jay Robinson Racing Busch Series team for the 2006 season. As a member of the Crew Member Development program, Pointon trained at PIT Instruction & Training in Mooresville, N.C. Pointon continues to seek crew member opportunities in various NASCAR series.

Maurice Sackey

Maurice Sackey, a West African native, participated in the PITCREW U program at PIT Instruction & Training in Mooresville, N.C. as a member of the Crew Member Development program. Sackey earned placement with Jay Robinson Racing for the 2006 race season.

Jason Wong

Jason Wong, of Brooklyn, N.Y., competed in the NASCAR Busch Series with the Crew Member Development program in 2006. Wong earned a position with Jay Robinson Racing following the conclusion of his initial eight-week pit crew training.
